Karrie Benoit - Lead Vocals
Karrie is an internationally known singer-songwriter, background vocalist, vocal producer and arranger that began singing and performing at an early age, learning to sing from her mother,
Kathy Bee, an accomplished vocalist. Singing in musicals that her mother wrote, Karrie developed her vocal abilities and, at age 18, began sharing her musical talents within her church, singing for the numerous congregations of the International Churches of Christ. In her 20’s, Karrie began training with top vocal coaches including Dorian Holley (Associate Musical Director for American Idol), Clark Harris and Steve Brown. Currently, Karrie travels internationally “on tour” with Motown Legend Smokey Robinson as a background vocalist and works on some of the best stages and within some of today’s top studios (Maverick, Parrot, Drop Soul and Centerstaging). Karrie is also busy writing and producing with Rob Gi Hana, Gary Gold, The Oregon Bros, and Embassy Studios. She recently joined forces with friends to create a new company, Godspedia. In addition to Soulfish, Karrie is working in groups such as Sol Conviction, Kinfolk, Friends in Life, and Bad Dog No Biscuit. Karrie lives in the L.A. area with her husband Nathan and their young daughter.

Peter Wade - Drums / Vocals
Peter Wade is a singer / songwriter / drummer / and DJ who began singing and recording at the early age of four with his musical family, releasing his own record at the age of seven. Peter has worked with the likes of Michael Jackson (Jackson 5), Chicago (David Foster and Bill Champlin), Kim Carnes, John Denver, Pat Boone, Jane Wiedlin (Go-Go’s), Merle Haggard, Freddy Fender and others. He has sung on various TV spots, films and movie soundtracks for Walt Disney Productions, Paramount Pictures, Columbia Pictures , and has performed in such musicals as Radio City Music Hall’s, “Christmas Spectacular” and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s, “Evita”, with Hal Prince. Peter also worked as a childhood actor, appearing in several TV spots and even played the drums in a McDonald’s commercial. At the age of 19, Peter began putting his musical talents to use for his church through singing, drumming, and a capella vocal groups. For nearly 18 years, Peter served as the Musical Director for the
Los Angeles International Church of Christ (Metro LA Region). Their gospel choir has appeared on stage with Enrique Eglesias and has performed at venues such as the Rose Bowl, Shrine Auditorium and various events throughout California. In 2005, Peter teamed up with guitarist, John McLellan, to form the band, “Soulfish”, where Peter drums and sings. In addition to Soulfish, Peter worked with Grammy Award winning artist, David Joyce, and composer William Belote on a music project. David and Bill, through their band, “Gopher Gods” (www.gophergods.com), have written and produced several songs that capture Peter’s unique vocal style and feature his wide vocal range (www.myspace.com/petercwade). In 2014, Peter, along with his wife Monica and two sons, relocated to Thousand Oaks, CA.

John McLellan - Lead Guitar / Vocals
A native of Southern California, John began studying Classical guitar at the age of 15, inspired by his first guitar hero, Randy Rhoads. He later moved to Chicago, IL after a stint in the US Marine Corps, and honed his chops as a guitarist, songwriter, and a recordist/producer. During this 12-year period, he was a mainstay of the vibrant Chicago music scene and played guitar with such acts as The Sniff, Strange Boy, the popular Alternative band Crash Radio and Soul Search Records recording artist
Souljak. Though well versed in a variety of electric and acoustic guitar styles, John finds the most gratification in playing funky, Blues-Rock guitar – as loudly, yet dynamically, as possible. John lives in Los Angeles, CA with his lovely wife Nancy, along with one ridiculously annoying dog.

Malcolm Turner - Bass / Vocals
Malcolm Turner is the product of a 1960’s “Chi-Town” upbringing, growing up as the oldest of five children in a family whose musical diversity includes Jazz, R&B, Soul, Rock & Roll, Jazz Fusion and others. Malcolm knew in the core of his soul he wanted to perform and, more specifically, play bass guitar. After receiving his first bass guitar and rig at the age of 14, he immersed himself into the influences of bass guitar extraordinaire Stanley Clarke, Anthony Jackson, Ron Carter and Jaco Patorious, to name a few. The 80's brought Malcolm to Los Angeles, which proved to be an exciting experience, touring extensively in Asia and Canada with an R&B explosion group called, Rama. While working on recording projects and touring, Malcolm had the pleasure of working with musicians and producers such as
Andre Fisher (Rufus & Chaka Khan), Chuckii Booker (Recording Artist), Jonathan Moffett (Drummer for Michael Jackson, Cameo and other greats), and Sydney Justin (Shalamar). Hired by The Chambers Brothers, a renowned 60’s group, Malcolm performed at events like HBO’s Night at the Fillmore and enjoyed the immense pleasure of playing with Carlos Santana, Etta James, John Lee Hooker and the legendary Joe Cocker. While continuing his stint with The Chambers Brothers, Malcolm also performed on the Jerry Lewis Telethon and in the popular 80’s US Festival. In 1999, Malcolm became a Christian and soon began sharing his musical gifts within his church. He also formed his own musical group called, “Day 1”, featuring musical guests such as Peter Wade (Drums), John McLellan (Guitar), Joi Marshall (Lead vocalist of the group formerly known as Jade), Will Austin (Keyboards), Tony Lander (Keyboards), Sam Meek (Guitar) and Mike Stakelum (Drums), to name a few. When approached by Peter Wade and John McClellan in 2008 with a juicy proposition to join Soulfish in a fresh new Funk, Soul and R&B venture, the opportunity was too attractive to let pass by. Malcolm’s current musical influences include Alex Al, Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller, Stanley Clarke and Wayman Tisdale (of course), Prince and Gospel artists such as John Pee Kee, Kirk Franklin, and Norman Hutchins. Malcolm lives in Orange County, CA and is happily married to his “amazing and wonderful” wife, Kristin, and has a beautiful blended family of five children.

Matt Kendall - Rhythm Guitar / Vocals
Growing up in a small Midwestern town outside of Dayton, Ohio, Matt was exposed to performing at a young age, gigging with his Father’s various Country and Rock bands, including The Silver Circle Band, for several years. After discovering Van Halen in his teens, Matt’s musical interests drifted towards heavier guitar styles, culminating in a move to LA in the early 90’s, where he played in various Metal bands and performed in a number of popular LA and Hollywood venues. In addition to being a guitarist, Matt is also an accomplished singer; his vocals have graced the stages of the Rose Bowl, Long Beach, San Jose and San Diego Convention Centers, and a myriad of other private and professional engagements. Matt has also spent time in the recording studio lending his voice on music projects with Peter Wade
and Gopher Gods, as well as with Karrie Benoit. Matt now lives in Phoenix, AZ along with his wife Erica and young daughter.
